Current Issues Statement
The current environment of education and funding in the arts and the organizations and institutions that support the arts is tumultuous.
The current political administration has already removed many of the avenues for funding in the arts by disallowing any funding that may support women, minorities and those with citizenship instability. With the amount of churn in the marketplace and a demographic cliff of 2026 approaching in education, guidance from experienced hands with tools to see beyond the horizon, give the emerging artist the best chance for success. Promisingly, history shows that there is often a rise in arts activity and increases in college enrollments during periods of great political and economic duress. Investment in education and talent acquisition rise as the political state makes the public sector less habitable for arts.
